ICBC Coverage
The province of British Columbia approved ICBC coverage for acupuncture treatments in 2019. This means that the residents of BC who are injured in a car accident can receive at least 12 free treatments within the first 12 weeks of their claim.
If it has been longer than 12 weeks since your car accident, your healthcare provider will work to help get you an extension so you can get your acupuncture treatments covered by ICBC. Furthermore, depending on the seriousness of your injuries, you may need more treatments during your recovery, so ICBC will consider covering additional treatments if needed on a case-by-case basis.
We do not currently offer direct billing to ICBC. If paying upfront is a barrier to you accessing acupuncture treatments for your ICBC claim, please send us an email at hello.pauseholistichealth@gmail.com and we can come up with a payment plan.
